Install the Engramic plugin

The plugin records key decisions and milestones from your Claude Code sessions to Engramic, and checks that each repo is set up for it. Decisions are always shown to you before they are published.

  1. 1.Connect Engramic

    Add the Engramic MCP server. The plugin doesn't bundle its own, so if Engramic is already connected (for example through the claude.ai connector), skip this step.

  2. 2.Install the plugin

    Add the marketplace, then install.

    claude plugin marketplace add engramic-ai/claude-plugin
    claude plugin install engramic@engramic-ai

    Inside a Claude Code session, the equivalents are /plugin marketplace add engramic-ai/claude-plugin and /plugin install engramic@engramic-ai.

  3. 3.Start a session and sign in

    Start a new Claude Code session so the plugin's hooks and skills load, then run /mcp and sign in, picking your workspace. There is no token to paste.

    /mcp

Optional: run /engramic:setup in a repo to check its Engramic setup and add per-repo defaults.

Requires Node 20 or later for the hooks and the setup check, and an Engramic account. Sign up or log in.
