Accessibility statement

This statement covers:

  • the Engramic website, www.engramic.ai;
  • the Engramic app, app.engramic.ai, including links shared from it.

It does not yet cover the Claude extension, the browser extension, or documents and decks exported from Engramic.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use Engramic. You should be able to:

  • use every part of the website and app with a keyboard alone;
  • skip straight to the main content of each page;
  • zoom to 400% without text spilling off the screen;
  • turn off animation through your device's reduced-motion setting;
  • use a screen reader for most of the app and website;
  • choose light, dark or your device's setting on the website;
  • move topics without dragging, using "Move to…" or the keyboard.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this service is

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. The website and the app partially meet this standard. The parts that don't are listed below.

Known issues

IssueWCAG criterionWhen we expect to fix it
The topic tree in the app is announced as a list of buttons, not a tree, and arrow keys don't move through it. Each expand button is labelled and says whether it is open.WCAG criterion: 1.3.1, 4.1.2When we expect to fix it: Under review
The silent videos on the website's home page have no text description of what they show.WCAG criterion: 1.2.1When we expect to fix it: Under review
Pop-up messages in the app close after about four seconds. They stay open while you hover over or focus on them.WCAG criterion: 2.2.1When we expect to fix it: Under review
Some small labels in the app use a fixed text size. They grow when you zoom, but not when you change your browser's default text size.WCAG criterion: 1.4.4When we expect to fix it: Under review
We have not yet tested the app or the website with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver), so there may be problems we don't know about.WCAG criterion: —When we expect to fix it: Under review

How we tested

We last checked Engramic on 4 November 2026. We used:

  • automated checks with axe-core, against WCAG 2.2 A and AA, on every public page of the website and on the app's sign-in page, in light and dark themes;
  • a manual keyboard review;
  • a review of the code for the signed-in parts of the app.

We will review this statement at least once a year, and whenever we make a large change to the product.
